Nidhivan: what people believe about it

Nidhivan is a small grove in Vrindavan with dense clumps of tulsi and other trees. It is known as the place where Swami Haridas practised.

Devotees believe that Radha and Krishna perform the raas leela here at night, which is why nobody stays in the grove after dusk and the gates are closed. People also say the trees bend in pairs. These are beliefs, and we cannot offer any scientific proof for them.

When you go

Timings change, so go in the morning. There are monkeys, so keep glasses and phones safe. There may be rules on photography; follow what is posted. The place is sacred to devotees, so keep quiet.
