Ram Navami: why it is kept in Vrindavan too
Rama was born on the bright ninth of Chaitra. A short note on where this festival fits in the land of Krishna.

Devotees hold that Rama was born in Ayodhya on the bright ninth of the month of Chaitra. The day is Ram Navami. Many fast, read the Ramayana, and the birth aarti is held at midday.
Vrindavan is the land of Krishna, but its devotees do not forget the other avatars. Many temples here hold bhajan and aarti on this day. Some, like Prem Mandir, also honour Sita-Ram, so the day has a place of its own there.
Keeping it at home is easy: light a lamp before a picture of Rama, chant "Shri Ram Jai Ram Jai Jai Ram" and offer fruit and something sweet.
